Delhi's Chief Minister 'Sheila Dixit' Passed Away At The Age Of 81

While the whole country is mourning her death, Akshay Kumar leads Bollywood in paying the condolence to her family. 

Khiladi Akshay Kumar was the first to pay condolences; he took to his Twitter to pay respect to the former chief minister.

Akshay wrote, "extremely sad to know about the demise of Sheila Dixit Ji; she effectively did  changed the face of Delhi during her tenure, heartfelt condolences to her family."

Joining Akshay Kumar, Nimrat Kaur also paid condolences and wrote "deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers on the passing of hashtag Sheila Dixit Ji, a lady par excellence someone who leads by example and indispensable presence for generations to remember may her blessed soul rest in peace."

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar also paid his tribute and wrote "sad to the here demise of former Delhi CM Sheila Dixit Ji; she was a very dynamic leader she will be remembered for changing the face of Delhi with the infrastructure and development."

Famous actress Urmila Matondkar took to her twitter and wrote "Rest in peace RIP. Smt.Sheila Dixit Ji, You will always be respected and loved for your determination, fierce, strength,  and yet kind personality that made Delhi more beautiful than ever among many other things Om Shanti."

Kamal R Khan tweeted "RIP Sheila Dixit Ji! You did a fantastic job as a CM of Delhi. So you will always remain alive in the hearts of those people, who have seen Delhi before ur work and after your work."

Virender Sehwag took to Twitter and wrote "Sad to hear about the passing away of Sheila Dixit Ji. Heartfelt condolences to her family and her loved ones."

The senior Congress leader was the Chief Minister of Delhi for 15 years before Arvind Kejriwal took over as the CM in 2013.

Shiela Dixit was born on 31 March 1938 in Kapurthala.
