Batla House To Be Postponed?
Two accused in the Batla House encounter event have moved the Delhi High Court to seek a stay on the release of John Abraham's Independence release film depending on the incident in Delhi in 2008.

The plea, registered by Shehzad Ahmad, and Ariz Khan both of them are accused in the very famous Batla House encounter case and are likely to come for the hearing in next week.

Here is everything You Need To Know About the case

The request sought a direction to the Centre to conduct a pre-screening of the film.

The plea next stated that all the promotional videos and posters of this movie assert that the events in the film are basically inspired by actual events and real events, which creates the impression that the film portrays an accurate account of events at the Batla House experience.

"Although the courts discharge their duties in a fair and free manner and are unlikely to be affected by events depicted in a movie...the release of such a movie would prejudice the outcome of the trial," the plea said." The events depicted in the movie will prejudice the trial, mainly because there's been an effort to connect the two cases, that is Batla House along with the Delhi serial blasts," the plea further added.

'Batla House' which is Directed by Nikhil Advani,  is inspired by the real event of the alleged police experience that happened in Delhi in the wake of the serial blasts that took place in the year 2008.

John Abraham's Batla House will release on Independence Day this year along with Vidya Balan and Sonakshi Sinha starrer Mission Mangal based on the first mission of India to Mars.

Both films will clash with each other.

Earlier Prabhas and Shraddha's Saaho was also scheduled to release on the same date, but now it is moved to release on 30 August.
