Following 2.0, Shankar Shanmugham is currently working on many scripts, among which is an underwater sci-fi thriller, has approached Shah Rukh Khan to play with the antagonist within it.  

Formerly he had been in discussions with Hrithik Roshan for the past couple of months, but today the star's plate appears to be full, as he's on the brink of signing a few movies.

There's talk that the sci-fi activity underwater experience drama may be produced by a leading digital streaming media. 

According to a report, "Indian 2 will be Shankar's next movie after 2.0, with superstar Kamal Haasan however, the director has been simultaneously on more than one project, one of which includes an underwater sci-fi movie.   

Apparently, the filmmaker has approached Shah Rukh to the same role.  The talks are just at the very early stages.  

It is an octopus-like creature who possesses superpowers along with a superior intellect.  

It'd be exciting to possess SRK to give his nod for this one as he and Shankar have never worked before earlier.  

Shankar has approached Jackie Chan, Tamil star Thalapathy (also known by his lovers ) Vijay and Chinese actress Li Bingbing for a few critical roles.  

Shankar was eager to utilize Hrithik Roshan, but it did not work out."

The source adds that the underwater sci-fi film will be the first of its type in our country.  "and something he has not done before.  

The narrative revolves around a colossal, octopus-like monster (which resides in the ocean) possessing special super powers as an underwater diver, a treasure-hunter and a lighthouse keeper begin a search for this.  

Shankar also wishes to make it in 3-D with the best underwater motion capture technology.  

The octopus-like creature will be almost human and possess a soul like an ornithologist Pakshi Rajan  in2.0 -- somebody who can understand things and react to situations.  

There'll be lots of high-octane action also.    

Now Shankar is planning to pitch it to international studios for financing since the sci-fi adventure drama is reportedly an ambitious and costly venture - with a greater budget than 2.0."
