Dabangg Girl Sonakshi Sinha who is currently busy promoting her upcoming Mission Mangal recently, ended herself up in the middle of a huge controversy when she used the term ‘Bhangi’ in a distasteful manner during a recent interview while promoting her last release Khandani Shafakhana which led to protest by Valmiki community in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh.

The actress has recently issued a formal apology and asked for forgiveness.

The video which is now being updated with that portion cut out and edited, featured Sonakshi Sinha saying “Yeh thodi hai ki purposely Ghar jaake, ‘bhangi’ banke Chali jaungi,” when asked about her airport looks.

Soon after the video went viral on the internet and caught people’ attention, Media reported about the ongoing protest by members of the community of Valmiki and that they had burnt the actress’ effigy in Moradabad.

Sonakshi Sinha took to her Social handles to apologize for offending the community as the actress wrote, ”With reference to an interview I did with Siddharth Kannan on July 23, 2019, I place on record that I have tremendous respect and huge regards for the Valmiki Samaj and all their valuable contributions to our country. If any community or person has been hurt by the use of any word by me, despite it being un-derogatory and unintentional to anyone, I humbly apologize for the same.”

On the work front, the Sonakshi Sinha witnessed her recent release, Khandani Shafakhana, which also features rapper Badshah and comedian Varun Sharma in the lead roles.

The film which was released last Friday failed to impress both the critics and the audiences and is a disaster at the box office.

Sona will be next seen opposite Salman Khan in the sequel of hit Dabangg series which will release in December this year.
